The Second International Meeting on Crime Observatories, co-organised by the International Centre for the Prevention of Crime (ICPC) and the National Observatory of Delinquency Department (OND) of the National Institute of Higher Studies in Security (INHES) in collaboration with Chile's Ministry of Interior, will take place from March 18th to 20th, 2009 in Santiago, Chile.
The growing interest of governments, international organisations and role-players in prevention in the development of observation tools suggests an urgent need to expand our knowledge on the matter. To follow up the first meeting, which focused on the main reasons for creating an observatory, this second international meeting will emphasize more specifically on the production of measurable results.
